Thanks for stopping by to see what I've been up to as I've been hiding on the Inter/net(s).
A new poem, "Games," has been published in the new sports-themed Prairie Schooner (http://prairieschooner.unl.edu/prairie-schooner-news), guest-edited by Natalie Díaz.
Later this year, a lengthy close reading of Bob Kaufman's "Grandfather Was Queer, Too" will emerge in a special issue of Obsidian, marking its 20th-anniversary Furious Flower Conference, where I presented with Drs. Jericho Brown, Roger Reeves, Mendi Lewis Obadike, and Dawn Lundy Martin on a critics’ roundtable, “Going Too Far: The Queer Poetics Distraction from Issues of Race and Class.”
My talk, “Hush, Somebody’s Calling Me Out of My Name: The Fact of Quareness," focused mostly on Phillis Wheatley's transgressions against gender norms & her invocation of erotic imagery in famous myths to articulate her own forestalled sexual agency. However, Kaufman's poem kept haunting me.
Let's hope the reading illuminates more about one of the most enigmatic, original voices in African American poetics. Let's hope this Wheatley essay finds a home this year.
Yours,
Lamar

Reading your post about embracing creativity through poetry and essays reminded me how structure and expression intertwine, even in mathematics. When I was struggling to balance creativity with logic, I turned to help with algebra class through The Online Class Help, which helped me see algebra as a language of patterns rather than just numbers. That shift completely changed my learning perspective, making equations feel more like crafted verses than rigid formulas.
Your reflections on poetry and queer poetics are deeply engaging, especially the connection to Phillis Wheatley and Kaufman. I’ve been exploring similar themes in writing projects too, and honestly, using blog writing services like Paysomeone To has helped me organize complex ideas more effectively.
The blog post Happy 2016! New Poem, New Essay offers a rich glimpse into creative process and renewal at the start of the year. While preparing for an online exam on literary craft, I considered using a University Application Essay Editing Service to sharpen my writing and focus. It highlighted how clarity and support matter deeply whether you’re developing new work or tackling academic challenges
I really enjoyed reading “Happy 2016! New Poem, New Essay.” It’s inspiring how creativity and reflection can blend so well. Recently, I realized how valuable academic editing help can be for UK students. When I got an assignment at my university, I struggled to complete it on time. That’s when I found professional research paper editors who improved my work’s structure and clarity. Their guidance made a big difference and helped me submit polished, well-organized writing confidently.
